Lois Winifred (Darnell) Comstock Currie 1909 – 2004
Winifred passed away peacefully in San Francisco on October 14, 2004, at the age of 95.
She will always be remembered as generous, cheerful and loving.
After the death of her first husband, Carey Kennedy,
Winifred married Andrew Comstock and moved to the San Francisco peninsula, where
she remained a long-time resident. During that time, she was a very active member
of the P.E.O. charitable organization (Chapter CZ), and was the merchandising manager
of their thrift store.
She also volunteered at the El Camino Hospital gift shop. Win's most recent residence was The Heritage Retirement Home in San Francisco.
In addition to her children Caroline Youmans of San Rafael, CA and James Kennedy of
San Jose, CA, Winifred is survived by five beloved grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren,
and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 am on Sat. Dec. 11, 2004, in the chapel at the Heritage Retirement Home, 3400 Laguna St., San Francisco, CA.
