Myron Vere (Beechie) Crozier, only child of John A. and Mattie Woods Crozier was born in Knoxville, July 29, 1901 where he spent his entire life until passing away August 25, 1972 at Collins Memorial Hospital.

During his high school and college days at the State University of Iowa, he was an outstanding athlete, winning many medals and ribbons.

His father preceded him in death in April 1939. He affectionately cared for his mother, until her passing, February 1945.

He and his father invented and patented the Little Giant Window Platform in the early 1920's. He continued the manufacturing and distribution of that business until his health and eyesight failed in 1967. His business was then closed and sold after 48 years of operation.

January 27, 1945 he was united in marriage to Pearl Courtney, she having a daughter. Dorothy Ransen of Des Moines, whom he adored, and who survives.

Pearl Crozier passed away October 2, 1969.

On Nov. 7 1970, he was united in marriage to Media Paitzer of Knoxville. Besides his widow who survives are his step daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Lenora) Van Rees, step-grandson, John Van Rees of Des Moines, great grandson, Scott Van Rees and a step granddaughter Mrs. LeRoy (Bonnie) Nichols who so affectionatelyassisted in caring for him during his last illness.

He was be greatly missed by his relatives, friends, and neighbors, for to know him was to love him.

He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church.

Services were held August 28, 1972 from Bybee and Davis Funeral Home. Dr. Leonard officiated. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery.
