Funeral services for Glenn H. VanLoon, who died Sept. 2 at his home in Newton, were
held from the First United Methodist Church there Sept. 5 with Rev. Edwin Frohardt
officiating. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery. Masonic services were held at
the funeral home Newton Masonic Lodge No. 59. AF & AM. Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.

Glenn H.,
son of George and Snow Cox Van Loon, was born March 8, 1916 at Columbia and attended
Knoxville High School.

He was married to Wanda Cridlebaugh on June 2, 1946 at Newton.

He was state sales manager of the Moor Mann Mfg. Co. of Quincy. He was a member
of a branch of the United Church of Christ; Newton Masonic Lodge No. 59: Za – Ga
– Zig Shrine: Order of Eastern Star, of which he was a past patron; a past watchman
of the White Shrine of Jerusalem: a member of the Elks Lodge: Gebal Chapter, Oriental
Commandry: and Jasper County Shrine Club.

His parents and two brothers preceded him
in death. Surviving are his wife, Wanda ; two daughters. Mrs. Gary T. (Linda) Jones
of Lisle, Ind. and Pamela Denise at home: a brother, Calvin Van Loon of Knoxville
and a sister Mrs. Floyd Weeda of Lenox.
