Ruby Jeanette (Daubenspeck) Jolly was born July 17, 1935, at home in Knoxville, Iowa. She was
one of four children born to Ralph Craig and Emma Alora (Jones) Daubenspeck.

Ruby
was raised in a spiritual environment and her mother always made sure the children
were in Sunday school and church. They attended the Free Methodist Church, walking
quite a distance in bad weather and good. At the age of 14 years, Ruby asked Jesus
into her heart at a revival meeting at the Free Methodist Church. God blessed her
through the good and bad times of life.

She attended Knoxville Schools, graduating with the Class of 1953. Following graduation,
Ruby worked at Ben Franklin, Iowa Drug Company, Farmer’s Elevator Mutual Insurance
and Community National Bank.

On June 25, 1966 she was united in marriage to Dean Kirtz Jolly at the Free Methodist
Church. She retired from the Knoxville School System in 2001 after 14 years of service.She
was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the U.M.W. and the Knoxville
Area Retired School Personnel.

Ruby passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital
at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, brother, Carl James Daubenspeck and her husband, Dean on May 24,
1972;
Those left to honor Ruby’s memory include her daughter, Kim of Knoxville, brother,
Carrol Daubenspeck of Madison, Wisconsin; nephews, Craig & Pattie Daubenspeck, Tracy
& Tommy Daubenspeck; Melissa, Stephany & Tyler Daubenspeck and Kirk and Peggy Daubenspeck
all of Madison, Wisconsin.
