Ronald L. Jones, 63, of the 500 block of Cholas Drive, Ankeny, died of a heart ailment
Thursday at Mercy Medical Center. Cremation will follow visitation.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ankeny First United Methodist Church,
of which he was a member.

Mr. Jones was born son of Harry Caries and Rachel Guyola (Miller) Jones, in Oskaloosa and had lived in Knoxville before moving to Ankeny
34 years ago. He had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad before retiring and
was a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; a daughter, Rhonda Danner of Ankeny; two sons. Scott of Ankeny and Chris of St. Paul, Minn.; three sisters, Phyllis Mitchell of
Ankeny, Mary Kuiper of Knoxville, and Eleanor Ostendorf of Ames; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Near Highland
Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
