Memorial services for Diane (Claridy) Graves, 55, of Knoxville, who died on Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Iowa Medical Center in Des Moines, were held on Monday, March 26, at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Stanwood officiated at the services.
Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion County.
Honorary, Pallbearers were Kaleb Marshall, John Harlow, Kevin Weldon, Holly VanWyk, Kyle Weldon, and Alan Weldon.
Diane was born on July 20, 1945, in Lafe, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Marjorie
Goodsell DeGoey. The family moved to Knoxville when she was a young girl.
Upon graduation from Knoxville High School in 1963, she went to work for the Veterans
Hospital. She worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years until her retirement
in 1982 due to ill health. She enjoyed being with family and friends.
Diane is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Bobby of Knoxville; one
daughter, Lisa Pope of Melcher-Dallas; her parents of Knoxville; one brother and
sister-in-law. Kevin and Cindy of Knoxville; six grandchildren; and many other relatives
and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Knoxville Fire and Rescue Unit. Arrangements were by
