Services for Robert Eugene Sullivan, 67, of Demorest, Ga., who passed away May 24,
1991, were held May 27 at Hillside Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Jonah Memorial
Gardens, Demorest, Ga.
Gene was born April 13, 1924, in Knoxville, the son of Leon
W. and Ina Litchfield Sullivan. He was a retired chief HMC in the U.S. Navy and
served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Christian
Church in Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by a brother Roger (Nicky) Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Ora, of Demorest, Ga.; a daughter, Jean L. Durham of
Dallas, Ga.; and a son, Robert L. Sullivan, of Stone Mountain, Ga. Also surviving
are his parents and his brother Richard of Knoxville, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild,
a niece, three nephews and other relatives and friends.
