Services for Robert L. Miller, 73, who died May 12, 1980 at his home in Exira, Iowa were held May 15 from the Federated United Church
of Christ in Exira. Interment was in Exira Cemetery.
The Rev. Nancy Jensen officiated at the services. The graveside flag presentation was by Ballou Post No. 332,
American Legion, Exira and the Masonic Graveside
Services were conducted by Exodus Lodge No. 342, A.F. & A.M., Exira.
Music was by Mrs. Charles Powers, organist.
Pallbearers were
Clarence Con, Alvah Jorgensen, Tony May, Charles Powers, Ted Simpson and Warren Thompson.
Mr. Miller was born November 25, 1906, the son of Newton F. and Candis Marsh Miller, near Knoxville.
As a boy he was a member of the Methodist Church in Knoxville. He graduated from Knoxville High School and Simpson College at Indianola.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War
On December 31, 1930 he married Bernice M. Beadle at Atlantic, Iowa. They lived most of their married life in Exira where he operated the Exira Elevator until be retired several years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice, one sister, Edna Hem of Knoxville and sister-in-law. Esther Miller of Knoxville.
