Services for Nancy Lee (Smith) McCoy, 38, Knoxville, who died on March 19, 1993, at the
Knoxville Area Community Hospital, was March 22, 1993, at the First Assembly of
God Church in Knoxville.

Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The Revs.
L.H. Swartzendruber and Aaron McCombs officiated at the service. Music was provided
by Darlene Mooberry, Darla Fields, and Libbie Swartzendruber. Pallbearers were Steve
Eck, Pat Flattery, Wayne Frye, John Riemersma, Kevin Swartzendruber and Richard
Thomas.

Nancy was born on July 16, 1954, the daughter of Dorothy Marlene Lowe and Howard
Glenn Smith. Nancy spent most of her life in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville
High School in the Class of 1972.

She began working at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville for several years before
deciding to become a nurse. She attended Des Moines Area Community College and received
her nursing degree.

She had been employed at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital
for the last nine years and performed all the different duties a nurse is called
upon to do, but she really enjoyed performing as a surgical nurse. Nancy loved her
work and the people she came in contact with.

On Oct. 15, 1976, she was married to Danny Craig McCoy, in Unionville, Mo. Nancy
enjoyed needlework including cross-stitching and crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening
and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her father on March 19, 1970. Survivors include her
husband of Knoxville; one daughter, Sherry of Knoxville; one son, Patrick of Knoxville;
her mother and step-father, Marlene and Fred Parker of Knoxville; one sister, Sharon
Merin of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Howard Smith of Springfield, Mo., and Forrest
Parker of Galveston, Texas; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Verda and Raymond
Jones of Knoxville.

Memorials may be made to the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. The Williams Funeral
Home in Knoxville was in charge of the arrangements.
