Services for Everett Mark Sterling, 29, of Altoona and formerly of Knoxville, who died Sept. 4, 1986 in an auto accident near Des Moines, were held Sept. 8 at Williams Funeral Home.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services.

Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist, and Barry and Arlene
Barkey, vocalists.

Mr. Sterling was born Nov. 14, 1956 in Knoxville, the son of
Jack and Beverly Arkema Sterling. He married Karen Rowley on Dec 22, 1979.

He was employed as a civil engineer with Shive-Hattery Associates of Des Moines. He was a member of the
Knoxville First United Methodist Church, Professional Engineers of America, Iowa Land Surveyors, Central Iowa Chapter of Engineering Society, Iowa
State Alumni Assoc., Des Moines Cyclone Club, and Iowa State Ski Club.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Lynda, and his grandfathers.

He is survived by his parents of Knoxville; one brother, Mike of Omaha, Neb.; and his grandmothers.

A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church Radio Ministry.
