Services for Marjorie Arlene (Watkins) Harvey, 65, of Knoxville, who died on Jan. 16, 1987 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, were held on Jan. 19 at Williams Funeral Home. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist, and James Kidder, soloist.

Pallbearers were Dick Dunkin, Pat Harvey, Jim Poffenberger, Dick Riggen and Kris and Larry South. Marjorie Harvey was born on August 3, 1921 in Marquisville in Polk County the daughter of Steven and Florence Lillian Watkins.

On July 10, 1941, she married Lyle E. Harvey.

She worked as a telephone operator for Bellamy Telephone Company. She was a member of D.A.V. Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; son, Michael, of Des Moines; two daughters, Claudia Anna South of Colorado Sprinns, Colo, and Susan Poffenberger of Centerville; six Grandchildren and one great-Granddaughter; one brother, Steven (van) of Los Angeles, Calif; and one sister, Wilma Pieratt, of Chariton.

A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association.
