Services for Marguerite A. (Stickle) Donnelly, 86, of West Branch,
who passed away May 22, 1991 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, were held May
24 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Rev. Philip
Cardenzana officiated at the services.
Marguerite was born on June 27, 1904 in Knoxville
the daughter of John S. and Margaret Wren Stickle. She attended the Knoxville School
and graduated in the class of 1922.
She married John W. Donnelly in 1936 and the
couple farmed in the Donnelly area. Her home was here in Knoxville area until the
death of her husband in 1961. She moved to Iowa City and there until entering Crestview
Care Center in 1970 at West Branch. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church
for 75 years.
Surviving are her son John T. Donnelly and his wife Kathy; her daughter
Margaret Donnelly and her husband Russell Brooks, both families are of the Iowa
City community. She also leaves two grandchildren, Michael and Kelly and one great
grandchild John.
Memorials have been designated to the Crestview Care Center of
West Branch, Iowa.
