Manis Imogene (Jones) Still was born on July 3, 1926, in Knoxville. She was the
daughter of Bertie Rose and Elmer Roscoe Jones. Manis attended East Elementary School
and graduated from Knoxville High School.
On Nov. 6, 1955, Manis was united in marriage
to Robert Chester Still. To this union, one son was born.
For many years Manis was a telephone operator at the Bellamy Telephone Company in Knoxville.
She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. For the last several years,
Manis has been a resident of Griffin's Nursing Center.
Manis passed away on Nov. 24, 2008, at the Griffin's Nursing Center at the age of 82.
Manis was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to mourn her passing are one son, Lyle David Still of Knoxville, long
time caregiver, Sharon Dennison of Knoxville as well as other friends.
Graveside services were held Nov. 26 at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville with Elder
