Larry Leon Moon, 60, of Fort Mitchell, AL. passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Columbus Regional Medical Center. Burial; Fort Mitchell National Cemetery – Fort Mitchell, Russell County, Alabama
Mr. Moon was born July 15, 1947, in Knoxville, IA., to the late Lester Moon and Marjorie McVay Moon.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for Sizemore Security as a security guard
Larry was a Knoxville, Iowa student in the Class of 1966.
He was united in marriage to Carol Moon Gillis, and to this union were born two children:
1 Daughter: Melissa Anne Moon (Jessie) Godsey, 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
1 Son: Robert (Candice Clarkson) Moon. The couple divorced and he married Beth and later Leslie Pittman.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 3 p.m. EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phoenix City, AL. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Patricia of Fort Mitchell, AL.; & her three daughters,
Mary Ann Meade of Seale, AL.,
