Funeral services for Kerry Dean Seibert, 44, of Harvey, who died of bleeding on the brain Friday, February 24, 1995 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Februrary 27, 1995, at Assembly of God Church in Harvey.
Burial was at Eureka Cemetery, in Marion County.
The Rev. Jane Shroyer officiated at the services. Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist-vocalist, and Rev. Jane Shroyer, vocalist. Pallbearers were Denny Bachman, George Burke, Cyrus Cox, Dan Houser, Ron McMurray, Jim Morgan, and Dan Redding.
Honorary bearers were David Leeper, and Rex Seibert.
Kerry was born July 19, 1950, in Oskaloosa, the son of Frances Edith Guthrie and Elmer Sylvester Seibert. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1968.
He was employed by John Gordon Trucking as a driver. He loved baseball and softball, and was involved in coaching children. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Padgett on November 26, 1969, at the Assembly of God Church in Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Vern.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Harvey; his mother, Frances Seibert, of Harvey; two sons, Jeff of Knoxville, and Eric of Harvey; a daughter, Michelle of Harvey; a brother, Dennis Seibert of Harvey; a sister, Debbie Johnson of Oskaloosa; and one grandchild.
Memorials may be made in his memory for his children.
