Funeral services for Cecil Henderson Reese, 77, of Knoxville, who died November
27, at his home, were held November 30, 1994, at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in
Knoxville.

Burial was at Dunreath Cemetery in rural Marion County. The Rev. Bob
Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Linda Gehling, organist.
Pallbearers were Will Reese Hjortshoj, Joseph Gunnar Hjortshoj, John Henderson Walker,
Nigel Thomas McKay, Aaron Thomas McKay, and Daniel Thomas McKay.

Henderson was born
September 5, 1917, in Marion County, the son of Cecil and Elizabeth Templeton Reese.
He grew up in the Red Rock area, and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1934.
He attended Simpson College, and returned to the Red Rock area where he and his
father raised livestock and farmed.

He was united in marriage to Marzette Le Grand
on May 18, 1940, at the home of her parents in Marion County. He was preceded in
death by his parents; an infant sister, and an infant granddaughter.

He is survived
by his wife, Marzette; three daughters, Barbara Walker of Prairie City, June Hjortshoj
of Monroe, and Peggy Terpstra of Monroe; one sister, Catherine Black of Knoxville;
eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
