Services for Matthew Clark Job, 35, of Knoxville, who died November 17, at Knoxville
Area Community Hospital, were held November 21, 1994, at First Presbyterian Church
in Knoxville. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Reverend Ken MacLeod
and Pastor Tim Magnuson officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder,
organist. Pallbearers were Stuart Job, Jamie Hollingshead, Glenn Plumb Jr., Alex
Job, David Job, Russell Hams, Mel Suhr, Tim Leach, Bill Helmick, John Vick, Paul
Rang, Curt Fee and David Bass.
Matt was born July 11, 1959 in Knoxville, the son
of Ned and Julia Clark Job. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1977, and
from Rollins College in Winter Park, Ha., in 1981 with a Degree in Business Administration.
He worked for Barnett Banks of Florida in Winter Park and Jacksonville, and for
the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando.
Matt married Margaret Plumb on August
8, 1987 in Winter Park, at the Knowles Chapel. They moved to Knoxville in March
of 1990. Matt currently served as Executive Vice President and Director of Iowa
State Savings Bank.
Matthew Clark Job was the vice president at Iowa State Savings
Bank in Knoxville. He was also involved with the Knoxville Main Street Program,
the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and the Knoxville Rotary. Job also served as president
of the Marion County Banker's Association and for the American Heart Association.
of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and was currently involved in many community organizations.
He was past president of Knoxville Main Street and the Marion County Banker's Association,
Secretary/President Elect of the Knoxville Rotary Club, member of the First Presbyterian
Church and Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his
maternal and paternal grandfathers.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Knoxville;
two daughters, Katherine Keeton Job, and Elizabeth Clark Job, both at home; his parents, Ned and Julia Job of Knoxville; one brother, Stuart, of Knoxville; a sister,
Susan of West Des Moines; maternal grandmother, Louise Timmerman of Naples, Fla.;
and paternal grandmother, Bernice Job Crane of Knoxville.
Memorials may be made
to Tourette's Syndrome Association. Arrangements were made by Evans-McCleery Funeral
Home in Knoxville.
