Graveside services for Dorothy Margaret Davis, 82, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Attica, who died November 29, 1994, were held December 10, 1994, at Gullion Cemetery, near Attica. The Rev. Steve Bagby officiated at the services. Jean Shively provided the music.

Dorothy was born January 14, 1912, in Gentry County, Mo., the daughter of James Green Long and Ruby Drenning Long. Her mother died when she was two years old, and after living with her grandmother for two years, she was taken into the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Stevenson, of Murray, where she had a good home.

She worked for many years as an executive housekeeper in the Vancouver, Wash., Veterans’ Hospital, and she retired from the Santa Cruz County Hospital in California. She had lived with her son in Vancouver since 1992.

She was united in marriage to Carroll R. Davis on September 2, 1928, in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; a daughter, Mary Louise Davis Snyder; four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a son Norman L. Davis, of Vancouver, Wash; a sister, Edna Latiok of Hot Springs, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
