Gerald L. Hayes, a former resident of Knoxville, Iowa, died at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines, Friday, January 8, 1954, at the age of 48 years.
Death was caused by a heart attack.
The deceased was a son of William Samuel Hayes, and Mary Elizabeth Randol. He was born, Jan 08, 1954, in Knoxville and had lived In Des Moines for the past sixteen years. He was a member of St. Ambrose church and a graduate of the local high school
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Hayes, of Des Moines and two brothers, Wayne Hayes, of Knoxville, and Robert Hayes, of Davenport.
Funeral services were held. Monday afternoon. At 1 p. m. from the Hamilton funeral, In Des Moines, with burial in the Greenwood cemetery, north of Knoxville.
