Donna Darlene (Kingery) Karr, age 76 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
Burial will take place at Coal Creek Cemetery near Bussey. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

The daughter of Earnest and Marian (Currier) Kingery, Donna was born on November 28, 1938, in Red Rock Township. She went to school in Knoxville, graduating in 1957.
Donna lived most of her life in Iowa. She was a member of the American Legion Axillary and enjoyed mushroom hunting and camping.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Deanna (Jeff) Shannon, Denise Rash, Donnie (Jeanie) Mattix, Danny (Mary) Mattix, Shane (Debra) Stewart, and Shawn (Steve) Stewart; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Vicky) Kingery and Dennis Kingery; and sisters-in-law, Karen (Delmar) Johnson and Connie Sneller.
Preceding Donna in death were her parents, a brother, Ronald; husbands, Darrell Dean Mattix, William Lee Stewart, and Orville Dwayne Karr; and a great-granddaughter, Morgan Marie Egland.
