Donald W., son of Noah L. and Roxie Garrison Breese, was born in Knoxville Sept.
15, 1904 and died at Thomasville, Ga., May 17 following a heart attack.
After graduating from Knoxville High School in 1922, Breese attended Iowa State
College and Drake University. He became a member of the First Christian Church at
the age of 12 and in his early teens, organized a Christan Athletic Club that later
be came a boy scout troop.
Breese was married to Leone McLoud in 1931. The couple had three children, Donald
Jr., JoAnn and Nancy.
A number of years ago the family moved to Sioux Falls, S. D., where he engaged in
the meat business. Later they lived in Fremont, Neb. In 1952, Breese acquired
his own meat brokerage business in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The family later moved
to their present home at Thomasville, Ga. Breese was preceded in death by his only
brother, Merrill, in 1949.
Surviving besides his widow and children are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Breese,
two nephews, Tyler and Terry Breese and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral
services were conducted in Thomasville May 17. Graveside services were held here
May 22 under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge of which Breese an a 32nd degree
member. Burial was in the family plot in Greenwood Cemetery.
