Richard “Dick” Bellamy, 84, died peacefully on Nov 1, 2010 in Sonoma, CA.
Dick grew
up in Knoxville, Iowa, a town he fondly remembered. He pursued his lifelong love
of books as first a salesman and then as Acquisitions Librarian at Sonoma State
University. Dick enjoyed music, particularly opera, collecting, restaurants, and
his extended family. In his later years he became an accomplished collage artist.
Dick was the son of the late Herbert and Ruth Bellamy of Knoxville, Iowa. Dick is survived by his loving sister Eleanor Bellamy Hopkins, of Des Moines, Iowa, nieces
Ruthann Hopkins and Melissa Holland (Michael), and nephew David Hopkins (Lisa).
