Alicia Diane Worthington, daughter of Emmert and Betty (Donley) Binns, was born Aug. 3, 1950, in Oskaloosa, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kan., on Nov. 9, 2010, at the age of 60.

Alicia grew up in Knoxville, and graduated from the Knoxville High School. She also attended Central College in McPherson and the Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina.

On Aug. 15, 1970, she married Terrill Worthington in Knoxville.
They moved to Kansas where Alicia joined her husband in pastoring churches in several communities including Frankfurt, Junction City, Bucklin, Emporia, and Hugoton, before moving to Norton. While in Norton, Alicia was the insurance clerk for the Norton Doctor’s Clinic.

Alicia was a member of the First Church of God in Norton where she taught Sunday School, Bible studies, and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Survivors include: her husband, Terry, of their home in Norton; two daughters, Joy, and husband, Aaron Thomas, Ellis, Kansas; Karen Wright, Norton; one “adopted” daughter, Stephanie Cookson, Norton; 11 brothers and sisters, Sharon Miller, of Colorado; Dareld Binns, of California; Vonnie Shride, Pam Gritts, Vickie Meisinger, Sandy Renard, Kathie Caylor, Dennis Binns, Steve Binns, Cheryl Howell, and Randy Binns, all of Iowa; four grandchildren, Cameron and Jada Thomas, Ethan and Christian Wright; other relatives and many friends.

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 15, at First Church ofGod in rton, Kan. Internment was in the Norton Cemetery.
