Funeral services for Aimee (Stroud) Stevens-Amsberry, 91, of Knoxville, formerly of Lovilia, who
died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville, were held
Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Knoxville. Rev.
Peter Peterson officiated at the services. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Aimee was born on March 14, 1912, in Marion County, to Otis L. and Mary
(King) Stroud. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1930 and attended William
Penn College.

She married Francis V. Stevens in 1932; he died in 1939.

She then married Floyd Amsberry in 1944. The couple ran the Amsberry Grocery Store in Lovilia for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one infant brother and one grandson.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Lester and Kathryn Stevens of Santa Maria, Calif., and Kenneth and Sharon Stevens of Saugus,
Calif.; a daughter and her husband, Mary and Harry Saxe of Charleston, S.C.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma Van Dyck of Salt
Lake City, Utah.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Arrangements were
made by Gilbert-Boman Funeral Home.
