Services for Paul H. Shoemaker, 66, of Des Moines and formerly of Knoxville, who died July 20, 1985 of a heart attack at his home, were held July 22 at Westover Funeral Home.

Interment was in Glendale Cemetery.
Rev. H. LaVern Kinzel officiated at the services.
Music was provided by Kathryn Kallemyn, organist.
Pallbearers were Dan, Leslie, Mark, and Ross Fee, Gary Shoemaker, and John Waddell.

Mr. Shoemaker was born on Jan. 12, 1919 in Pleasantville, the son of Elmer Lawrence and Rita (Conway) Shoemaker.

Graduating from Knoxville High School in 1936, he graduated from AIB with a degree in accounting.

On Sept. 22, 1943 he married Marie Graves of Pleasantville.
Living in Des Moines for 42 years.
Shoemaker retired in 1979 at an accountant for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.

He was a past director of First Iowa Community Credit Union and Firestone Credit Union.
He is survived by his wife; one brother, Gene of Waterloo; and two sisters, Carol Fee of Knoxville and Ruth Waddell of Des Moines.

Memorials have been established to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Foundation.
