Neil David Loynachan Funeral services for Neil David Loynachan, 83, of Knoxville, who
died September 8, at his rural home, were held September 10, 1997, at Williams Funeral
Home in Knoxville.
Burial was at Breckenridge Cemetery in Marion County. The Rev.
Martha Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist,
and Katie Davis, guitarist and vocalist. Pallbearers were Duane Bishop, Clarence
"Bud" Loynachan, Kenneth V. Loynachan, Marvin Loynachan, Ted Loynachan, and Kenneth
Sytsma.
Neil was born March 4, 1914, on the family farm east of Knoxville, the son
of Frank N. Loynachan and Mary Elizabeth Cooper. He attended country school at Elm
Ridge, and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1931.
He was united in marriage
to Helen Bruere on March 16, 1941. The couple moved to a farm in the Tracy area,
and returned to the family farm in 1949.
After Helen's death, he married Dorothy
Stroud Beaver on July 22, 1972. He continued to farm until his death. He was a member
of the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife Helen; a son, Bill; and a sister, Ethel Bailey. He is survived
by his wife Dorothy of Knoxville; a son, Kenneth of Knoxville; a step-son, Melvin
Beaver of Melcher-Dallas; a step-daughter, Sandra Agan of Harvey; two grandchildren,
11 step-grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to
the American Heart Association.
