Funeral services for Maxine (Thompson) Bayse, 76, of Humboldt, who died April 18,1999 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, were held April 21, 1999, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt.

The Rev. Russell Dilley officiated at the services.
Burial was at Union Cemetery in Humboldt.

Maxine was born February 15, 1923, in Blanchard, the daughter of Oliver L. and Grace Calfee Thompson. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1941, and attended Drake Universitiy in Des Moines.

She was united in marriage to Clyde Bayse in 1942, in Lancaster, Mo. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Humboldt. She was an active member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt.

She was an active member of the Methodist Choir for 50 years, a member of the Esther Circle, a former Sunday School teacher, and she had been a Cub Scout den leader and a member of the Silver Sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, of Knoxville; her husband; three sons, Terry of Chickasha, Okla., Tom of Apple Valley, Minn. And Tim of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Mary Louise Spain of Danville, Ill.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
