Funeral services for Marie Moore, 75, of Reasnor, who died January 26, 1998 at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, were held January 30, 1998, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
Burial was at Lincoln Cemetery, in Marion County. The Rev. Lawrence Howerzyl officiated at the services. Music was provided by Mildred Vos, pianist, and Nolan Vos, soloist. Pallbearers were John Holdsworth, Steven Holdsworth, Clifford Vos, Nolan Vos, Duane Walker, and Douglas White.
Marie was born May 22, 1922, in Knoxville, the daughter of Earl and Minerva Kastor Severns. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1941.
She was united in marriage to Herman C. Moore on March 17, 1956, in Newton. The couple were longtime residents of Jasper County, moving to Reasnor in 1969. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a sister.
She is survived by her husband of Reasnor; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials in her name may be left for Herman at the funeral home.
