Services for Lillian Barbour, 67, of Des Moines and formerly of Knoxville, who died July 18, 1985 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. of cancer, were held July 20 at Williams Funeral Home.
Interment was in Dallas Cemetery at Dallas.
Rev. William Travis officiated at the services. Music was provided by Dawn McKay, organist.
Pallbearers were Alex and Timothy Barbour, Richard Bennett, Kevin and Tony Carter and Tom Compiano.
Mrs. Barbour was born on Dec. 5, 1917 in Knoxville, the daughter of Matthew and Gertrude Coe Price.
On April 17, 1937 at Plattesmouth Neb., she married Alex (Hap) Barbour.
She was employed by the Columbia Broadcasting System as a designer and artist until her retirement five years ago.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pearl.
She is survived by her husband , three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Paula) Bennett of Rockford, Ill,
Mrs. Tom (Pam) Compiano and Mrs. Penelope Carter, both of Des Moines; one son, Alex of Schamburg, Ill,; 13 grandchildren; five great grand-children; two sisters, Irene Myers of Casa Grande, Ariz, and Olive Bates of Phoenix, Ariz., and one brother. Carroll Price of Knoxville.
