Funeral Services for Justin Lee Karr, 17, of Knoxville, who died on Thursday, November
15, 2001, at his home, were held on Monday, November, 19, at First United Methodist
Church.
Revs. Peter J. Peterson and Gary Roozeboom officiated at the services. Jim
Kidder was organist, Interment was at Graceland Cemetery. Casketbearers were Aaron
Colbert, Nick Cortez, Josh DeVos, Eric Karr, Kyle Morse and Allen Rowley. Honorary
casketbearers were Adam Lucas and Jon Sinnard.
Justin was born on October 21, 1984
in Knoxville.
He was the son of Charlene Mardell (Rankin) Karr and Steve Lyn Karr.
He attended school in Knoxville and was curently a junior.
He loved animals, hunting,
fishing, and playing with his dog, "Sammy". He volunteered his time to help with
the youth soccer at the Knoxville Rec Center. He had been selected as a trainee
with the Knoxville Rural Fire Department. He participated in football, wrestling,
and baseball. he liked to listed to country music, expecially Garth Grooks. More
than all of those Justin loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was
preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Rankin.
He is survived by his mother,
Mardell Karr of Knoxville; his father, Steve Karr of Knoxvile; two brothers, Scott
and Eric Karr, both of Knoxville; grandparents, Leland and Frieda Karr of Knoxville
and Nona Rankin of Knoxvile; and a great-grandmother, Josephine Wallace of Phoenix,
Ariz.
Memorials may be made to the Knoxville Rural Fire Department. Arrangemnets
were made by Williams Funeral Home.
