Gregory Alan Philben was born June 30, 1959 in Neligh, Nebraska, the sone of Mike
and Pat Krause Philben.

He attended St. Anthony's Parochial School in Knoxville
and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1978.

Greg was employed by the Veterans
Administration Medical Center in Knoxville for one year and at the time of his death
he was employed by Colonial Terrace Mobile Home Park and was a partner in SCAB Construction
of Knoxville.

Greg passed away on August 24, 1983 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa at the age of 24 years, 2 months and 4 days.

He was preceded in death
by his father, on June 27, 1979 and one brother, Jim, on August 19, 1973.

He is
survived by his mother; three brothers: Mike and Kerry of Knoxville, and Dan of
Aspen, Colorado; three sisters: Mrs. Paul (Peggy) Mallory of St. Paul, Minnesota,
Mrs. Dan (Jana) Dennison of Knoxville and Mrs. Don (Mary Jo) Noftsger or Melcher,
Iowa and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Henry Krause of Elgin, Nebraska.
