Georgia Brady, Chief operator at the Bellamy Telephone company, for the past five and one-half years, died at Mater's hospital at 6 p,m. Monday, following a major abdominal operation which was performed Friday.

The deceased had been employed at the Bellamy Telephone company for almost 14-years, having first worked for them during her Junior year in high school. For sometime her health had been gradually failing and about two weeks ago she was compelled to give up her work. She entered Mater's hospital Friday, and had an operation performed but her vitality was at too low an ebb for her recovery.

She is the daughter of W.A. and Sophia Brady and was born, January 22, 1905, four miles north of Knoxville. In the spring of 1920 the family moved to Knoxville, where Georgia entered high school.

She graduated with the class of 1923. After graduation, she was steadily employed by the local telephone company.

Surviving the deceased in her early death are, her father and mother, a sister, Inez Zoutte; two nieces, Frances and Betty Zoutte; four aunts, Mrs. Ada Sweezen, Mrs. Rachel Craven, Mrs. Ellen Fisher and Mrs. Ollie Black, an uncle, Frank Brady, many other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral services were held in the Christian church, on Wednesday, October 3, at 3:30. The service was conducted by the Rev. E.L. Stone. Interment in Graceland cemetery.
