Graveside services for Dorothy Mueller, 84, of Perry, who died Sunday at the Mercy
Hospital in Johnston, will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be given to the Mercy Hospice in Johnston and the Muscular
Dystrophy Association.

Dorothy Karns Shivvers Mueller was born on April 11, 1921,
in Pleasantville. She was later adopted into the family of Ralph W. and Nell Shivvers,
who lived five miles west of Knoxville.

She attended Lincoln Township grade school
and graduated from Knoxville High School. She attended Simpson College, where she
received a two-year teacher certificate of graduation in 1941.

She married Ernest
William Mueller II on June 5th, 1942.

Mueller is survived by her children: E. William
III and Karol Mueller III of Perry; Maribeth and Bill Trueblood of Geneva, Ill.,
and Lori Ann Erickson of Sycamore, Illinois; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
