Memorial services for Dorothy (Kamerick) Heuer, 76, of Ft. Myers, Fla., who died
Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003 at the Hospice House at Shell Point in Ft. Myers, will be
held Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the First Methodist Church in Ft. Myers.
Dorothy was born
on October 18, 1927, in Knoxville, the daughter of John and Ruth Kamerick. She attended
schools in Knoxville and graduated in 1945. She graduated from the University of
Iowa in 1950, and moved to Chicago, Ill. She worked for the Harris Trust and Savings
Bank in Chicago until 1961.
She married Leroy Heuer of Chicago in October 1960 and
together they had two children, Richard and Barbara. Dorothy and Roy moved to Ft.
Myers in 1988. She was active in P.E.O. and many other organizations in Ft. Myers
and Sanibel Island, and enjoyed golf. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Roy and daughter, Barbara and family, all of Ft.
Myers, a son, Richard and family of Lake Zurich, Ill. and brother and sister-in-law,
John and Carolyn Kamerick of Knoxville.
