Willa Mae (Neely) Carpenter, 84, of Parkersburg, formerly of Knoxville, IA, died December 11, 2003 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Knoxville, IA a daughter of the late Algren and Emma Edwinson Neely.
She worked at Bellamy Telephone Company as a telephone operator. She enjoyed quilting, and collecting Longerburger baskets.
She is survived by her daughters Judith Mederios of Phoenix, AZ and Karen Archer and her husband Gary of Parkersburg; two granddaughters Teresa Miller and her husband Jeff of Phoenix and Julie Archer of Charleston, WV; grandson Kerry Archer of Martinsburg, WV; and one great grandson Tyler Miller of Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Carpenter, two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Dr. Larry Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, IA.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service.
