Calvin Kiowa Rickett, Sr. passed through the veil on December 31, 2001, after a lingering illness.

He was born April 16, 1925 to William Andrew Rickett and Bertha Della Ryerson in Pershing, Iowa.

He was married to Inez May Cole in May of 1946, they had twin sons Howard Cole and Robert Burrell. He was later divorced and married Shirley May Corless on February 28, 1953.

They had seven children, Patricia Ann (Snow), Cathy Jean (Baker), Deborah Sue (McKinlay), Calvin Kiowa Jr., Michael Kevin, Mark Kelly and Carol Lynn (Shepherd). He has 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II, Korea, and Vietnam Veteran. Calvin worked at Tooele Army Depot for 14 years. He was proud to be of service to his country. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many positions.

He was loved by many friends and acquaintances. His family adored him, he was their strength and anchor through the many trials of life.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2002 at 12 noon at the West Valley 3rd Ward, 2820 West 3590 South.

Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and on Saturday at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial
