Harry Lee Austin, 83 of Lake Worth, FL passed away on March 27, 2009.

He was born May 17, 1925, to Ray and Lena Austin and raised in Knoxville, Iowa attending
local schools, and graduated from Knoxville, H.S. in 1943. Harry then attended Parsons
College for one year on a scholarship he received for carrying the Register and Tribune newspaper.

He then served his country in the Army during WWII and was in
the Battle of the Bulge. Afterward, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his completion
of service he attended and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Iowa
State Teachers College.

He then lived and worked in Chicago, moving to Florida in
the early 1970s. He worked for many years as Chief Chemist for PCI Industries of
Riviera Beach, FL retiring in 1993. Harry enjoyed his retirement, spending countless
hours at the Palm Beach Kennel Club watching the races. He also loved his dachshunds
and his most recent loving companion was “B.G.”

His survivors include his cousins:
Opal Oaks of Glenville, NY, Donna (Kenneth) Stockley of Earlville, IL, and their
children and grandchildren.

Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Jr.
