Wilma Anna (Stephenson) Jones was born on February 14, 1920 in rural Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Henry Stephenson and Stella (White) Stephenson. She graduated from Knoxville High School and then attended beauty school in Ottumwa.

On May 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Clinton Jones in Des Moines, Iowa. Wilma was a hairdresser for 52 years, working first for Mrs. Beamer and later owning her own salon, the
Ladifair Beauty Shop. She was a very skilled seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and other handwork. Wilma often took her work to local craft shows. She was a member
of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Wilma passed away at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 17 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Billy and Glen Stephenson.Wilma Stephenson

Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 54 years, Clinton; two brothers: Paul Stephenson of Knoxville and Leroy Stephenson of Ft. White, Florida; a sister, Ruth McDonald of Knoxville and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

The family invites relatives and friends to the First Christian Church for lunch following the committal service.
