Wilma Marguerite Isabel Garrett, the only daughter of William and Addie May McCoy, was born near Knoxville, September 5, 1905, and passed on to eternal life Aug. 7, 1931, aged 25 years 11 months and 2 days.

Since childhood she has been a member of the christian church and always glad to use her talents for its advancement. She received her education in the Knoxville high school and continued her musical education at Drake university for several years.

At the home of her parents on June 24, 1925, she was united in marriage to Glenn M. Garrett, who had a home ready for her on a farm near Purdy, Iowa. Five years happily and quickly passed when death called her devoted mother and it seemed best to move back to her old home that she might make happier her bereaved father.

Willingly all was done and those who knew her best can but praise the brave spirit that waged forward. However, all too soon the death angel called and one beautiful in sickness as well as in life was gone.

Mrs. Garrett loved most her, but she found time to teach a class in Sunday school and fill her place in the choir. She will be missed very greatly by her immediate family her husband and father and many relatives and friends.

Services were held at the home by Rev. F.G. Davis assisted by Rev. Betts, of Columbia, and burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
