Funeral services for William Clinton Irving, who died Oct. 1, 1965 were held from Bybee & Davis funeral home, Oct. 3, with Rev. Dennis Hemphill officiating.
Burial was in Columbia cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom Anderson, Wayne Bankus, Allan Finestead, James Garrett, Bill McCorkle and Jerry Witt. Mary Ellen Hall, organist, accompanied Richard Hunt, soloist.
William Clinton, son of Varel and Velta Irving, was born, Sept. 1939 in Iowa City.
He farmed in Lucas county and worked at the VA hospital.
He was united in marriage to Edith Fern Wiren on Feb. 22, 1959. He was a member of Columbia Methodist Church and had served in the Nationa Guard for eight years.
One brother, Melvin, preceded him it death.
He is survived by his wife one daughter Kimberly Kay two sons Todd William and Kevin Jay; his parents; six brothers, Jim of Fort Dodge, Bob, of Des Moines, Jerry of Pleasantville, Miles of Knoxville, Tom and John of Columbia: one sister, Anna Marie Sweeney of Pleasantville.
