Wanda Lee (Wooldridge) Sellers, 65, of Eagle Grove, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at her home in
Eagle Grove.
Wanda requested no funeral services be held. Wanda L. Wooldridge, the
daughter of Dale and Verda (Davis) Wooldridge, was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Knoxville.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1960 and married Robert Carrol “Whitey”
Sellers of Knoxville, on May 21, 1960. Following their marriage, the couple made
their home in Knoxville until 1963, when they moved to Goldfield, Iowa, and eventually
settled in Eagle Grove one year later.
Wanda worked for several area businesses
throughout the years, including Franklin Manufacturing (Frigidaire), Dodger Manufacturing,
Iowa Testing Laboratories and Umthun Trucking Company, as the couple raised their
family in the community. She eventually retired from the Eagle Grove School District,
Food Services, in 2000.
Wanda is survived by her three children, Robert J. Sellers
of Chico, Calif., Caroline R. Sellers of Eagle Grove, and Joseph Lee Sellers of
Owatonna, Minn.; six grandchildren, Tyler, Amber, Allyssa, Corinne, Talia, and Ethan;
two sisters, Mary, and Jane; and five brothers, Danny, Charles, Donald, Jack, and
Marvin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Betty,
Bonnie, and Joann; and five brothers, Robert, Raymond Dale, Bill, Edward, and Raymond.
The family requests that friends respect Wanda’s wishes by making a charitable donation
of their choice, rather than sending cards or flowers.
