Memorial services for Vivian Lurie (Fee) Rowley, 65, of Knoxville, who died January 3, 1998 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, was held on January 6. 1998 at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.

The burial of cremains will be at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville at a later date. The Rev. Martha Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Linda Gehling, the organist.

Vivian was born on April 20, 1932, in Marion County, the daughter of Timothy Vinton and Violet Verna Noftsger Fee.

She attended Knoxville Public Schools and graduated in 1950. She attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls and received her degree in 1952. She taught school in Monticello.

She was united in marriage to Donald Light on June 1, 1954. He died in 1974. She worked at the Marion County Abstract Office for several years.

She married Tommy Gibbons on January 20, 1978. He died in 1992. She later worked for MidAmerican Resources, retiring in 1994.

She married Dean Rowley on August 27, 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three infant siblings; and two grandsons, Donald and Jacob Light.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; four sons, Steve Light of Carlisle, Vance Light, and Donald Light of Knoxville, and David Light of Florida; three daughters, Nola Watson of Osceola, Brenda Light of Pleasantville, and Melody DeHeer Knoxville; a step-daughter, Connie Van Sickle of Irving, Texas; two step-sons, Roger Rowley of Pleasant Hill, and Randy Rowley of Knoxville; four brothers, Donald (Keith) Fee, and Ross Fee, both of Knoxville, William Fee of Dallas, and Lester (Dale) Fee of Eddyville; three sisters, Velma Perkey and Veda Kendrick, both of Knoxville, Verdadean Allen of Bussey; 10 grandchildren, and 12 step-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
