Virginia G. (Gamble) Sellergren, the daughter of Carl C. and Byrde G. Elliot Gamble, was born on August 29, 1911 at Knoxville, Iowa.
She died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 1 day.
Virginia was raised in Knoxville and was united in marriage to Delaine W. Sellergren on December 31, 1932, in Knoxville, Iowa. They lived in Red Oak until 1966 when they moved to Ft. Dodge, Iowa. In l978, Virginia and Delaine moved to Naples, Florida. Virginia later moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1999. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 4, 1988, and a grandchild.
Virginia is survived by her children; Carol-Mrs. James Pilkington of Gravios Mills, Missouri, Steven Sellergren of Mason City, Iowa, and Mark Sellergren of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Lorraine Hass of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, other relatives and a host of friends.
