Funeral services for Verna Dolores (Rowley) Cronkhite/ Moneysmith, who died April 4, 1973 at Des Moines Mercy Hospital, were held April 7 from Williams Funeral Home with Rev. William Travis officiating Burial was in Oak View Cemetery at Albia.

Casketbearers were James Moneysmith, Charles Marro, Michael Marro, Robert Halpin, and Richard Murphy. Mrs. Wayne Sutherland was the organist. Verna Dolores, daughter of Cornelius and Ida Connett Rowley, was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Albia.

On Dec. 24, 1930, she was united in marriage to Robert Cronkhite. On Jan. 29, 1953, she was married to Azel Moneysmith. She was employed at the Peoples Store in Knoxville for 28 years. Her father and husband, Azel preceded her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ida Rowley of Colorado Springs, Colo. Daughter, Mrs. Charles (Roberta) Marro of San Angelo, Texas, two stepsons, Larry Moneysmith of Council Bluffs, and James Moneysmith of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Murphy of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Halpin of Ottumwa; and seven grandchildren.
