Howard Casmore "Hap" Lowther, a 1933 Knoxville High School graduate, died July 29 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Lowther, the family resided in Knoxville between 1928 and 1945.

He joined the Navy on June 12, 1934 and during his 33 years service saw duty in Asiatic, Arctic, South Pacific. Mediterranean and European Theatres, having his last tour of duty Honolulu, where after his retirement in January 1964. decided to make his home. His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Millie: three sisters, Dorothy May Lowther of Washington, D.C.. Mrs. Frederick (Verona) Worth of Rutherford, N.J. and Mrs. Lucille Pauley of San Diego, Calif.: two children: and a nephew.
