Services for Velta Valentine Kunkel, 89, of Knoxville, who died Feb. 19, 1988 at Westridge Manor, were held Feb. 22 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.
Interment was in Indiana Chapel Cemetery at Attica.
Revs. K. Wayne Hoehns and John Beebout officiated at the services. Music was provided by James Kidder, organist
Mrs. Kunkel was born Feb. 12, 1899 in Marion County, the daughter of Joseph and Lula E. Smith Miers.
On June 26, 1948 she married Worth S. Kunkel.
They farmed near Attica for many years and upon, their retirement in 1950, they moved into Knoxville.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Ancil; and one sister, Esther.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Estella) Goering of Palmdale, Calif.; one brother, Clarence of Knoxville; one sister, Hazel Harvey of Pella, Seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the, United Methodist Church.
