Journal Express; October 9, 2001 Funeral services for Timothy Dwain Brees, 45, of Knoxville, who died on Saturday, September 29, 2001, were held on Wednesday, October 3, at First Baptist Church.

Rev. Gerald R. Feulmer officiated at the services. Music was provided by Barbara Westberg, organist and Rod Johnson and Karen Burke, vocalists.

Interment was at Ridlen Cemetery in Marion County. Casketbearers were Chris Brees, Jim Brown, Gary Burris, Marlin Goemaat, Chuck McDonald, Jimmy Rickabaugh and Joe Sedlock. Honorary casketbearer was Dustin Brees.

Timothy was born on August 7, 1956, in Knoxville. He was the son of Dorothy Moneysmith and Kenneth Brees. He grew up and lived in the Knoxville and Pleasantville area all his life. He married Julie Ann Swayne.

He enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers in both good and bad years. He liked sports, hunting and fishing, especially when he could share the times with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Patrick.

He is survived by his former wife, Julie Brees of Knoxville; a daughter, Angie Westfall of Knoxville; a son, Dustin Brees of Knoxville; his mother, Dorothy Streeter of Knoxville; a brother and sister-in-law, Kirk and Robin Fuller of Knoxville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pam Goemaat of Knoxville, Cindy and Milo McCombs of Lovilia, and Tammy and Richard Ford of Bussey; and 10 grandchildren with one more grandchild to be born in December.

Timothy Dwain Brees, 45, of Knoxville died of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Saturday September 30, 2001, on Iowa Highway 5 near Lovilia Services will be at 10:30 a.m Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Knoxville with burial at Mien Cemetery in Marion County.

Mr. Brees was born in Knoxville and had lived in the Knoxville and Pleasantville areas all his life. He enjoyed his children's and grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by a daughter, Angie Westfall of Knoxville: a son, Dustin of Knoxville: his mother, Dorothy Streeter of Knoxville, a brother, Kirk Fuller of Knoxville: three sisters, Pam Goemaat of Knoxville, Cindy McCombs of Lovilia and Tammy Ford of Bussey, and 10 grandchilden.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Timothy Dwain Brees Memorial Fund.

Patrick Christopher Brees. 26, of Knoxville died October 30, 2001, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Saturday on ma Highway 5 near Lovilia. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Knoxville with burial at Mien Cemetery in Marion County.

Mr. Brees was born in, Iowa City and had lived in Knoxville all his life, He was a welder at Vermeer's Manufacturing in Pella, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Heather: three daughters, Cassie, Shyann and Hannah, all at home: three sons, Jacob, Dylon and Austin, all at home: his mother, Julie of Knoxville, his grandparents, Larry and Bonnie Swayne and Dorothy Streeter, all of Knoxville, and his great-grandmothers, Isabelle Marshall of Pershing and Luverne Moneysmith of Knoxville.
