Services for Carrie Thelma Rietveld, 74, who died Jan.11, 1982 at her home in Atwater, Cal. were held Jan. 16 at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.
Interment was in Olive Chapel Cemetery, Marion Co.
Rev. Richard Smith officiated at the services.
Pallbearers were Tom McNeish, Leland Moon, Ronald Core, Mark Core, Anthony Moses and Robert Heisleman,
Mrs. Reitveld was born July 7, 1907 near Columbia, Ia., the daughter of Ralph and Carrie Hunt Maddy.
She attended schools in this area and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1924.
She was a school teacher in the country schools.
She was married to Howard Reitveld on Feb. 25, 1931. In her later life she made her home with elderly people who needed special care. She lived in Cal. the past six years.
She is survived by her son, Jon E. Rietveld of San Leondro, Cal.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clyde (Wilma) Core of Pleasantville.
