Terry Dean Bloom, 21, of Harvey died early Sunday morning at Mahaska County Hospital of injuries suffered in a one car accident on highway 92, about a mile west of Oskaloosa.
Services will be held from ByBee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville, Wednesday at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery, near Bussey.
Mahaska County Sheriffs officers said that Bloom apparently lost control of his car and hit the end of a bridge. He died shortly after the accident. He was alone in the car.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Bloom of Harvey; two brothers and one sister. (Knoxville Journal, Tuesday, March 5, 1968)
Funeral services for Terry D. Bloom who died March 3, 1968 at Mahaska County Hospital from injuries suffered in a one car accident, were held March 6th from ByBee & Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Jolm C. Turner officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetey near Bussey.
Pallbearers were Steve Geery, Mickey Riggen, Monte Kirby, John Kurtis, Jerry Swank and Douglas Vanderwerf.
Terry Dean, son of Wesley and Orpha Green Bloom, was born August 25, 1946.
He attended Scott Elementary School, Knoxville Junior and Senior High Schools. Terry graduated from Twin Cedars High School in 1965. He had been a member of the National Guard for the past three years.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kay; his parents; two brothers, George and Wesley Jr. at home; one sister, Joann of Council Bluffs; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Alfred Green.
