Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Kay (Wolf) Brown, who died July 31, 1973, at the University of Iowa Hospital, were held August 3 from Arlington Chapel with Rev. M.H. Mooberry officiating.

The burial was in Graceland Cemetery. The casket bearers were Joe Shinn Jr. and Bill Ridlen.
Alan Ver Steeg, Gary Vande Kamp, Jerry Kline, Jim Mason, Tom Phillips, Reid Scott,
and Paul Dennison. Mrs. Lois Anderson, organist accompanied Sharon Vander Zyl and
Marijane Brazley, soloist. Flowers were arranged by Betty Crozier, Ruth Dykstra,
Muggs Hook and Bette Cunningham.

Susan Kay, daughter of Dale and Birdie Van Hemert was born on August 26, 1943, and spent
most of her life in Knoxville. She attended Drake and Northwest Missouri State College.
Susan was a worthy advisor of Knoxville Chapter, Order of Rainbow for Girls, and
had been an associate teacher at East Elementary for several years.

On Sept. 6, 1964, she was united in marriage to Norman Brown. Surviving is her husband,
Norman: two sons. Chad and Ryan; her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wolf of Knoxville:
and three grandmothers. Mrs. Ellen Brown of Villisca. Mrs. Marie Van Hemert and
Mrs. Mick Wolf of Knoxville and many other relatives and friends.
